Welcome, I'm Todd Lyle and I'd like to give you a little background of why I could be the right photographer for you.
I live in Castle Rock, CO but was born and raised in Fremont, CA. My parents were both teachers, my younger brother, a straight A student, and myself, a dyslexic struggling C student. Yes, I admit it, school for me was difficult, but what I excelled at, was my ability to connect with people and make them feel comfortable. It is what made me the person I am today.
There have been times when I was looking to hire a photographer much like you are right now, combing through websites trying to find someone who I felt a connection with both emotionally and stylistically. I wanted someone who could help me feel comfortable in front of the camera, a photographer who could create a relaxing environment with fun and laughter. My goal as your Photographer is to make sure, at the end of your photo shoot, you'll feel "that was so much fun, I can't wait to see the photos!" Instead of the begrudging " thank goodness that's over".
Aside from working as a photographer I've been fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home dad for the last seven years. When I need a break from reality I typically head for the mountains to do some hiking, archery, shed hunting, wildlife photography, landscape photography, or just drive though the mountains exploring and looking for new locations to shoot.
The outdoors is my studio 90% of the time, using both natural light and off camera lighting to capture my/your images. Of course, there's the occasional event bringing me indoors, but they typically have the benefits of food, dancing, and alcohol, there's no way I'm going to pass that up!
If you haven't already, make sure to look though my Collections. If you like what you see, lets meet up and talk about what you're looking for, be it family photos, engagement, wedding, or one of my workshops.
By the way, if you have a DSLR camera or even a point and shoot that you're struggling learning how to use or would like to learn how to get out of AUTO and start shooting in MANUAL in order to get the most out of your camera, please contact me for details about one of my workshops! See the Workshop tab for more information.
